No More T.O.?

    So the word is that star football player Terrell Owens may be calling it quits to the NFL after ACL injury. There are two stories out their to the reason for the injury, reason one: he was injured while filming his popular reality show "The T.O. Show".

    Reason two: he injured his self while working out. Either way that's a sad way to be taken out of the game. Ad least when a athlete gets injured during a game the player has one last memory and the player can say that they were injured on the battle field. I hope everything works because he is a great athlete.

     So the word is that of the final four contestants left on the hit show "The Voice", Javier Colon is the winner! From the beginning of this season Javier has been a fan favorite with a voice like no one else. Also he was easy to relate to with his back story of being a father/husband and trying to provide for his family, but the final four contestants put up some strong competition with their talents.

Mother Sues Frat For $25 Million

     So the word is that a mother of a Cornell University fraternity pledge that past away due to alcohol poisoning is suing  for $25 million. I am like dang that's a lot of money but come on now she can never get her son back.

     Another factor is that the university says that they do not tolerate hazing. The sophomore student by the name of George Desdunes who was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity was kidnapped and tied up and forced to drink by freshmen pledges until he passed out and died. I feel that the mother is doing the right thing because these fraternities need to learn their limits.

     Desdunes was pronounced dead on Feb. 25 from alcohol poisoning at Cayuga Medical Center. Desdunes’ blood alcohol level was .409 – more than five times the legal limit, according to the family’s lawsuit.

William & Kate Land in Ottawa

Royal Watch continues! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Macdonald-Cartier International Airport in Ottawa just under an hour ago.

I must say, I am happy Kate made a wardrobe change while on the plane. Although sophisticated, the navy on navy look was very business chique. I prefer this navy blue lace dress from the Erdem Resort 2012 collection. She paired the dress with a nude clutch an matching L.K. Bennett pumps. Although designer Erdem Moralioglu is based in the U.K. he was born in Montreal, Canada.

Why all the navy you ask? Think about it, what color is her wedding ring...bingo!

So far, both of Kate`s outfits have incorporated Canadian designers. I think it is safe to say we can look forward to her showcasing more Canadian talent during this tour.

The couple just left the National War Memorial where they took part in a wreath laying ceremony with Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Following the ceremony, William and Kate split up to greet veterans and shake hands with the crowd.

Their  next scheduled stop is Rideau Hall.

Teen Choice Awards Voting is Open!

Yes, I know, I`m not a teen. I haven`t been for three years now but hear me out --the reality is, the Teen Choice Awards are still very entertaining for us non-teens. There is fun fashion to see, cute tweens to awe at, ridiculous voting categories, and wholesome fun to be had.

Also, the nominees do not have to be teens, only the voters do, so it is likely you will see some of your favorite celebrities out for the night. If they are nominated, that is.

Basically, the Teen Choice Awards is a cuter version of the MTV Movie Awards. Both award shows are not critically acclaimed and the winners will likely not be the best of the best in the business -- but they could be.

The voters (the teens) determine who will win each prize, so look forward to lots of categories dominated with Twilight nominees and even more Justin Bieber nominees. That means lots of appearances from the Biebs himself, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart.

What Will Kate Wear...

As I am sure you all know, Will and Kate are headed to Canada as we speakr their first visit overseas as a married couple. They are expected to land in Ottawa at around 2 pm.

I know some of you are planning on following them around in hopes of taking pictures and getting a glimpse of royalty. To make things easier, here is their official itinerary for the day:

When they land, they will  head straight to the National War Memorial. Afterwards, they will attend a welcome ceremony at Rideau Hall followed by a Celebration of Youth BBQ.

The couple will tour Canada for a total of 9 days (including travel time.)

I also know that a lot of you have been making fashion predictions regarding what the Duchess of Cambridge will be wearing. Well, the wait is over because Kate`s first outfit choice was revealed earlier today and yes, part of her ensemble is from a Canadian label!

Kate boarded a plane of the Royal Canadian Air Force at London’s Heathrow Airport in a navy Manon dress by french designer Roland Mouret and a navy blazer by the Toronto based fashion label Smythe les Vestes.

"We design with a woman like Catherine Middleton in mind: tailored and effortlessly chic. Needless to say we are delighted that Her Royal Highness has included Smythe in her first visit to Canada,"co-founders Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe said.

Here`s hoping Kate makes lots of wardrobe changes and includes tons of Canadian fashion designers along the way.

What to Expect For Season 7 of How I Met Your Mother

Carter Bays, writer and creator of How I Met Your Mother shared some season 7 secrets with Entertainment Weekly yesterday.

Season 6 ended on a birghter note for Marshall Eriksen who found out his wife, Lily, was finally pregnant. The couple had been trying to have a baby for a while but faced fertility issues while Marshall had been struggling with unemployment and the death of his father.

Bays made it very clear that things would keep looking up for Marshall who would definitely be employed in the Season 7 premiere. He also revealed that actor Martin Short will be joining the cast as Marshall`s new boss.

“You’ll see Marshall get settled into work in a really funny way. We knew that we wanted him to have a funny boss. Martin Short and Jason Segel in a work environment felt like a perfect combination,” says Bays.

As for Barney and Robin, it really looked like there was something going on between them. The episode ended with a glimpse into Barney`s future, which by the way included a wedding. Although Robin seems to be falling for Barney at the end, Barney appears to be swooning over Nora (so it seems.) When asked about Barney`s love life, Bays was very secretive.

“There will be some twists and turns now that Nora [actress Nazanin Boniadi] is back in the picture.”

I like Robin and Barney together so if his character is going to ever get married, it should be to her, not Nora.

As for Ted, I have become drained by all the waiting to meet his wife (the mother) and wont even pretend that I care about him as a character anymore. I think 6 seasons is long enough. Give us the mother`s identity and I will get back to being interested in Ted.

So in the end, we only know a little more, but I think it was just enough to keep our interest peaked over the summer hiatus.

And The Season 1 Winner of The Voice Is...

Javier Colon from Team Adam beat out three other finalists tonight for a $100,000 cash prize, a record deal, and bragging rights. The last part mostly applies to his coach Adam Levine, but still, Javier Colon has officially been named The Voice.

I wont lie, right before the show, at exactly 7:50 PM, I checked Itunes and saw Dia Frampton from Team Blake in the number 3 spot for most sales. Javier was in 7th and Beverly and Vicci were not even in the top 10. At that moment, I thought Dia was winning it all.

Towards the end of the show, when they said the results were extremely close between the top 2 (with less than 2% of a difference) I still thought Dia would be the winner. I think that made it all the sweeter for me because when Carson announced Javier as the winner, I jumped (a little.)

It was unexpected but still kind of expected. He was so emotional when Carson announced his name, you could tell how badly he wanted it. He deserved it.

I am so happy for him and so excited for the music he is going to release. As for Dia, I am not worried about her. She was releasing singles with her group Meg&Dia before the show aired and with all of this exposure and Blake Shelton behind her, she will succeed. This is not the last we will see of her.

The top 8 finalists will be touring this summer. Other than that, we have to wait for season 2 to air. All of the coaches will be returning to scout new talent, I can`t wait!!
